Casey V
Reviews and Awards
Editor
who reviewed the partial submission for Casey V had this to say: "I enjoyed THE
CHRONICLES OF CASEY V. The first person viewpoint is fresh and
interesting, and Casey has a unique voice. You definitely have the teen
voice down and have developed a likeable main character. It's a fun
read, with lots of humor, & the story has teen-appeal."
I entered the first 35 pages of Casey V in a contest for Chick Lit, called Get Your Stiletto in the Door contest. I'm THRILLED to say that Casey V has placed as a finalist in their Young Adult Division!
The first round judges loved it!! Out of a perfect score of 135, one judge rated it a 134 and one judge rated it a 133!! (I'm on cloud nine...)
Here are some verbatim comments from the judges:
This is very polished manuscript, and a clever story idea. I expect to see it on bookstore shelves soon. Good luck!
Now the
manuscript goes winging off to two prestigious finalist judges -- an editor at
Berkeley publishing, and an agent representing Young Adult! Keep your
fingers crossed for great news!!
